Bible study 66 – Exodus 16

The Israelites complain that they have nothing to eat in the desert, so God leaves out manna on the ground for them to pick up. He only leaves out enough for them to eat for one day, except on the sixth day, when he leaves out twice as much, so they don’t have to work on the Sabbath.

Just as I was thinking “I wonder what manna was really like?”, Moses orders Aaron to put some manna in a jar and preserve it for later generations! Unfortunately, this jar seems to have been lost at some later point.
