Bible study 78 – Exodus 28Posted: December 20, 2016
This chapter concerns the garments to be worn by Aaron and his priestly descendants. Again, I think a random, representative excerpt is in order to give you a taste of the language: “You shall put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece; the two ends of the two cords you shall attach to the two settings, and so attach it in front to the shoulder-pieces of the ephod.”
The “breastpiece” is also to contain “the Urim and the Thummim”, with zero explanation for what those are.
Aaron has to wear these clothes in the Tabernacle, or he will die.
