Bible study 98 – Leviticus 8

Aaron and his sons go through the priestly ordination rite described in Exodus 29, complete with the bull and the goats, and the dashing of blood absolutely everywhere. Rereading this ritual, it actually makes a lot more sense now that Leveticus 1:7 has given me an overview of Israelitic animal sacrifice in general.

Leviticus 8:16
Moses took all the fat that was around the entrails, and the appendage of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and turned them into smoke on the altar.
