Bible study 134 – Numbers 17Posted: February 14, 2017
In case anyone should still be confused about who’s in charge after the events of the previous chapter, God has Moses take one stick from each tribe, and makes only Aaron’s stick sprout and blossom with almonds. This stick is to be kept “as a warning to rebels”, that complaining against God means death. This solution does not alleviate the Israelites’ fears, however.
The Israelites said to Moses, “We are perishing, we are lost, all of us are lost. Everyone who approaches the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all to perish?”
